Grab your Nerd Crawl Quest Guidebook and set out on a 10-day adventure through Downtown Fargo. Local businesses, restaurants, shops and community spaces will each have quests waiting to be completed.

Find hidden objects. Solve puzzles. Test your trivia knowledge. Play a game. Discover something new. Complete creative challenges. Maybe even encounter a few surprises along the way.

Every quest you complete earns you an achievement for your Quest Guide and a chance to win prizes.

Nerd Crawl isn't just about completing quests. We're filling Downtown with 10 days of movies, games, comics, books, trivia, cosplay and other delightfully nerdy experiences.

It all begins October 1 with the Twilight Movie Experience at Broadway Square, a free, immersive celebration of Forks, vampires, werewolves and hoa hoa hoa season.

Then keep your Quest Guide handy as the adventure continues throughout Downtown before wrapping up October 10 with Hero Day at Red River Market.

Attend Midnight Comic Release

Choose Your Side Quest:Every adventurer needs a mission. Choose your quest at Paradox: get a staff recommendation, grab an upcoming event flyer, snap a red-and-black product selfie and tag @paradox_comicsncards, or play a demo game. Complete one side quest and report back to staff to earn your achievement!

Mooreoki

10/1- 10/10

Choose your path! Put your detective skills to the test with a mystery hunt, or race the clock to draw your favorite character in just 30 seconds. Complete either challenge to earn your achievement!

Overbooked

Use the Nerd Crawl book recommendation card and find a book in the store to recommend to other crawlers.

Emrys Cove

10/1- 10/10

• Judge a Book Based On Its Cover: Write a book description and recommend the book based solely on the cover.

• Page To Screen: Find a book in the store that has had either a movie or film adaptation and take a picture.

• D&D Quick Dungeon: Roll a simplified character, don their gear, and battle the dungeon monster to earn hero status!

Great Northern Bicycle Company

Nerds Fix A Flat: Put your bike knowledge to the test! Stop by Great Northern Bicycle and prove you have the skills to fix a flat tire. Complete the challenge and get your quest stamped!

Fargo Public Library

The Library Side Quest: Four mini challenges await throughout the Main Library. Explore the stacks, uncover each task, and complete all four to earn your achievement. Visit the check-out desk to get started!

Marge’s Diner/ Supper Club/ Bar

10/1-10/10

The Case of Marge’s Missing Shaker. Marge’s prized salt shaker has gone missing! Questers visit all 3 Downtown Fargo Marge’s locations to complete their quest. 

• Stop 1- Marge’s Diner: Gather intel by answering a Fargo movie trivia question correctly to earn a clue for your next stop. 

• Stop 2- Marge’s Supper Club: Search the collection of salt shakers and use your clue to find a specific salt + pepper shaker. The correct shaker reveals a secret word for your last stop.

• Stop 3- Marge’s Bar: Crack the case by telling staff the secret word to complete the quest and receive your achievement. 

Olive & Rust

The Curator Quest: Every great space needs one unexpected piece. Participants will explore Olive & Rust and find the most unique item– the one they’d build an entire room, bar cart, dinner party, or gift around. Once they’ve made their selection, they’ll share their pick and why with the Olive & Rust team members to complete the quest. 

• Olive & Rust is celebrating their 2-year anniversary on October 3rd!

The Herbal Quest: Find Your Plant Ally. Enter the enchanted garden with 3 hearts and complete 3 plant-powered challenges. Choose wisely and reach the end with at least 1 heart to earn your achievement.

Babb’s Coffee House- Ford Building

Babb’s Grand Line Quest: Babb’s has set sail for a new home at 505 Broadway, but its greatest treasure has gone missing! To complete this quest: 

1. Pick up a clue card at the counter.

2. Follow three quick clues hidden around the new space.

3. Collect the letters found at each stop and unscramble the secret pirate word. 

4. Tell the answer to a Babb’s crew member to complete your quest!

Get in the Ring with a Luchador! Step into the ring and unleash your inner luchador! Choose your mask and cape, strike your fiercest wrestling pose with one of Maria’s luchadores, and snap a photo to complete your quest.

Tiny Arcade Challenge: Big gaming fun in a tiny package! Stop by Tiny Things and test your skills on miniature Atari and Pac-Man arcade cabinets to complete your quest.

The Nail That Knows: Where hammers once thundered and brave hands took aim, a scar-covered timber still remembers the game. Among all its iron, one nail isn’t the same. Find the loose secret and uncover its name. Find the hidden passcode and whisper it to your bartender to complete the quest.

Save Townsville! Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup are hiding somewhere inside The Nines! Find all three Powerpuff Girls and report back to staff to earn your achievement.

Mastel Made

Mastel Made and the Secret of the Scroll: A precious artifact has gone missing in our store. In its place was left a scroll with a spell that can't be read. We await a brave adventurer who can wield our Revelio Spectacles to uncover the hidden message, and find our lost artifact. A prize will be awarded to any adventurer able to solve the secret of the scroll. Take home a small treasure upon quest completion. 

Stabo Scandinavian Imports

A Viking traveler has left five rune words in Downtown Fargo. Translate each whole word using the rune key. Then take the FIRST LETTER of each English translation to reveal the final five-letter message.

Show us your Quest Guide at the door for free admission, get your sticker for completing the quest when the showcase ends. If you can't make it right at 11, no worries; anyone who arrives by 12 will still be able to complete the quest! Let's pack the theater to show support for up-and-coming independent horror filmmakers!
