Opening the Vault: A Legacy Begins

Join us for the official groundbreaking of Opening the Vault, Plains Art Museum’s project to expand its permanent collection galleries.

Because of supporters like you, this vision is becoming reality. More of the Museum’s 6,000 works of art will soon be on view for the community to enjoy. Right now, many works stay in storage because there is not enough space to show them.

With help from Mortenson Construction, JLG Architects, and Olson Kundig, the Museum is creating new gallery space so more people can experience the collection for years to come.
