Cake is extremely popular in Norway, holding a special place in Norwegian food culture, celebrations, and social gatherings. No major events in Norway such as birthdays, holidays, even small informal gatherings with friends would be complete without cake – kake. There are endless variations of cake depending on season, tradition, and location in Norway.

Please bring a friend and join us for a special demonstration and tasting event in time to inspire Norwegian cakes for the holidays. 

Participants will:

• enjoy learning about the background and preparation of three very different types of cake popular in Norway
• watch demonstrations for preparing and serving the special cakes, and, best of all,
• sample the three prepared cakes!

Kvæfjordkake: Often called The World’s Best Cake (also called “Verdens Beste”)

Daimiskake (Chocolate Toffee & Macaron Ice Cream Cake)

Participants also will receive copies of the three cake recipes and a surprise bonus recipe.

What to Expect:

Doors open 15 minutes prior to class

Wine, cocktails, and other drinks available for purchase

No need to bring anything for class – everything is provided

Close toed shoes encouraged.

Class subject to cancellation if a minimum sign-up of 10 not met. You will be notified of the cancellation in advance. Cancelled classes will be refunded.
